The close up of the keyboard and typing on the computer screen (which relates to media and social media), links to the purpose of the documentary, which is to inform people about social media and the impacts of it. This close up shot sets up the beginning of the documentary to portray what it will be about. This is something which I would consider adding to my documentary in order to portray the same idea.
This documentary also uses shots which shows a birds-eye-view of London and citizens walking in another country. This indicates the idea that the documentary topic is about something which effects the world as a whole, and it is important everyone is made aware of that.
There also also shots of interviews from various people throughout the documentary. This is a typical convention of a documentary as it gets insightful information from people, other than the film-maker, so there is no bias or false information. The shot also has the spokes people set on the left third of the shot, allowing room for their names/occupations/facts to pop up on the right of the screen. This again is another convention of a documentary which would be effective for me to use.
